The BBVA Foundation is requesting applications for Biodiveristy Conservation Awards in the following categories:
Scientific research in ecology and conservation biology
Biodiversity conservation projects 
Knowledge dissemination and sensitisation in biodiversity conservation.
 
These awards, with a total purse of more than one million euros, are international in scope, while reserving a special prize for the Latin American community.
 
The awards are intended to recognise excellence in research, practical interventions and the advancement of social awareness in the conservation of biodiversity and the natural environment.
