Estuve mirando el sitio web de Natural Environment Research Council del 
Reino Unido, y parece que hay oportunidades para conseguir fondos para 
investigaciones en la zona.  El sitio web exacto esta escrito arriba.

En breve, la investigacion debe ser para maximizar la alivio de la pobreza 
en Amazonia/Andes, Africa (Sahel), India, Hindu Kush, y China.  El proyecto 
debe hacer analisis de las amenazas a los servicios del ecosistema de mas 
importancia al bienestar de los pobres de cada region.  El proyecto debe 
incluir cientificos de la region, del Reino Unido, y de otras partes, y 
tiene que ser liderado por investigadores de la region.

La convocatoria esta un poco alejada de nuestro tema, pero vale la pena de 
informarles y para pasar este informacion a otros colegas.

Challenges to the sustainable management of ecosystems to maximise poverty 
alleviation in Amazonia/Andes, semi-arid Africa, India & the Hindu Khush 
and China: four regional situation analyses.

Closing date: 30 March 2007

The Natural Environment Research Council, Economic and Social Research 
Council and Department for International Development invite applications to 
perform situation analyses of the challenges to ecosystem services most 
important to the well being of the poor, and the information required by 
policy makers to address them, in the following four regions:

Amazonia/Andes
Semi-arid Africa
India and the Hindu Khush
China
The teams will have expertise in environmental science and appropriate 
social science disciplines. The consortia are likely to include scientists 
from the region, the UK and elsewhere and will be led by researchers from 
the region.

This call is open to researchers based in recognised higher education 
institutions, research organisations or organisations with a credible 
research capacity.

The total funds available in connection with this call are £1,000,000
