The postholder will be expected to undertake collections-based research in an area of systematic biology/palaeobiology; preference may be given to candidates with research interests in arthropods or vertebrates. Applicants must have a PhD at the time they apply. Successful candidates will have an excellent research and publication record for their career stage, and an ambitious, viable research plan. The post will be supported by a research allowance of ?15,000 over the 3 years. I received the news this morning from his colleague Steve Collins in Africa. His funeral will likely be in Denmark. The African Butterfly Research Institute is consolidating a world set of tributes that will be shared at the memorial and published in the Lepidopterists Society Journal ? Metamorphosis in respect of Torben?s huge contributions to Africa/Middle East Lepidoptera. Please contact Dr Collins should you wish to contribute.
