  Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies &
  Center for Tropical Forest Science of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute
   
  Environmental Leadership and Training Initiative
   
  Yale University ’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (F&ES) and the Center for Tropical Forest Science (CTFS) of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) require the services of a Neotropical Training Program Coordinator and an Asia Training Program Coordinator for their Environmental Leadership and Training Initiative (ELTI). ELTI aims to strengthen the capacity of policy makers and conservation practitioners to adequately manage and protect tropical forest ecosystems. 
   
  The Neotropical Training Program Coordinator will be based in Panama and the Asia Training Program Coordinator will be based in Singapore . 
   
  The Training Program Coordinators will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design and development of field-based courses, workshops, and other training events in their respective regions, in addition to delivering lectures and talks on relevant environmental issues. They will also supervise a staff of doctoral and masters student interns and teaching assistants. Applicants should possess a Masters or PhD degree in natural resource management, environmental studies, or related field and have three to five years related work experience or equivalent combination. They will have experience in developing and teaching field-based courses and have excellent knowledge of environmental and forest biodiversity conservation issues in Latin America or Asia . Expert knowledge in forests and environmental services, forest and land rehabilitation and/or landscape-level conservation is preferable.
   
  Applicants must be fluent in English and, for those applying to work in Panama , Spanish. Command of other Asian language for those applying to work in Singapore is preferable.
