Interest in moths is growing rapidly amongst naturalists, conservationists, policy makers and the media. Butterfly Conservation is recruiting a new team to set up and run a National Moth Recording Scheme. This exciting initiative will network together thousands of existing moth recorders, establishing a database to underpin effective moth conservation, inform policy and planning decisions, stimulate research and encourage a greater appreciation and enthusiasm for moths among the general public. The project will promote moth recording among a wide new audience through public moth events, citizen science surveys and training workshops.
